ABOUT ACROBATICS

Acrobatics is the most spectacular discipline of YU Taekwondo – far more than just an impressive show. It is the overcoming of one's own physical limits and the ultimate school of absolute body control.

Training content & progression

Fundamentals & Basics

We lay the foundations for safe acrobatics. This includes correct breakfall techniques, handstands, cartwheels, bridges and basic jumping techniques.

Advanced techniques

As our body control improves, we increase the level of difficulty. The aim is to perform clean high kicks, flips such as the flick-flack and free somersaults.

Physical benefits

This training significantly improves your jumping ability, your flexibility and your spatial awareness.

Applications in YU Taekwondo

This newfound body control will have a direct impact on your martial arts. You’ll gain height for jumping break tests and greater dynamism for sparring.
