From 1β5 December 2026, the YU Taekwondo Camp Kenya 2026 brings participants together at YU Kenya Farm for five days of intensive training, personal development and shared experiences.
The camp combines regular YU Taekwondo training sessions with an exciting tournament, belt examinations and community activities. It offers an opportunity to focus on technique, develop discipline and confidence, and experience the values of traditional martial arts beyond regular classes.
Throughout the five days, participants train together, support one another and prepare for new challenges. From early morning sessions to the final examinations, the programme creates opportunities for personal progress and memorable experiences within the YU community.
But the camp is about more than training. Shared activities, an opening campfire and a community evening help participants build friendships, strengthen team spirit and experience what it means to be part of YU Taekwondo.
Several scheduled training sessions provide opportunities to practise techniques, improve coordination and focus on individual development.
The full-day tournament includes Hyong, Breaking and Sparring, giving participants an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a competitive setting.
The final day includes belt examinations, offering eligible students an opportunity to demonstrate their progress and take the next step in their training.
Training together, sharing experiences and participating in community activities encourage respect, discipline, confidence and friendship.
A training camp offers something different from regular weekly lessons: several consecutive days dedicated to martial arts, learning and personal growth.
At the YU Taekwondo Camp Kenya 2026, participants have the opportunity to practise regularly and build on their experiences from one session to the next. The scheduled training sessions create a structured environment where students can work on technique, concentration and consistency.
Training with other members of the YU community also creates new opportunities to learn from one another. Participants can share experiences, encourage their training partners and develop a stronger sense of responsibility within the group.
Traditional YU Taekwondo encourages perseverance, respect, self-control and discipline. These values remain important throughout the camp, whether participants are training, preparing for the tournament or taking part in community activities.
By combining focused practice with shared experiences, the camp aims to support both technical improvement and personal development.
The five-day programme includes scheduled training sessions, community activities, a tournament and belt examinations. Each day brings a different focus while contributing to the overall camp experience.
The camp begins with the arrival of participants at YU Kenya Farm.
The opening day provides an opportunity to meet fellow participants, begin training together and start the camp in a welcoming atmosphere.
The second day is dedicated to regular training sessions throughout the day.
Multiple sessions allow participants to spend time practising techniques and developing their skills through consistent training.
The third day continues the training programme and includes a special community evening.
After a full day of practice, participants can enjoy time together and strengthen their connections within the YU community.
The fourth day is dedicated to the Grand Tournament.
The top three finishers in each competition discipline will receive medals and official tournament certificates.
The final day includes scheduled belt examinations and the official conclusion of the camp.
For eligible students, examinations provide an opportunity to demonstrate their technical development, concentration and dedication to training.
The closing marks the end of five days filled with martial arts, shared challenges and community experiences.
The Grand Tournament on 4 December 2026 is one of the main highlights of the five-day camp.
Competition creates an opportunity to demonstrate technical skills, practise concentration under pressure and approach new challenges with courage and respect.
The tournament includes three disciplines:
Hyong challenges participants to demonstrate sequences of movements with accuracy, control, balance and concentration.
Breaking focuses on the controlled application of technique, precision, confidence and power.
Sparring challenges participants to demonstrate awareness, timing, reaction and control while respecting their training partners and opponents.
First-, second- and third-place finishers in each discipline will receive medals and official tournament certificates.
Beyond medals and results, the tournament offers participants an opportunity to gain experience, support one another and celebrate the progress made through regular YU Taekwondo training.
Important: The tournament fee is not included in the camp fee of KES 5,900. Please contact the organisers for further information about tournament registration and additional costs.
The final day of the YU Taekwondo Camp Kenya 2026 includes belt examinations, an important milestone for students who are ready to demonstrate their progress.
Every belt represents dedication, regular practice and continued development. An examination is not only an opportunity to demonstrate physical techniques but also to show concentration, discipline and confidence.
The training sessions earlier in the week provide time for participants to continue working on their skills. Students preparing for an examination can use these opportunities to practise consistently and approach their next challenge with focus.
Examination participation and individual requirements should be confirmed with the responsible YU Taekwondo instructors.
Some of the most meaningful experiences at a training camp happen outside the formal training sessions.
The opening campfire, community evening and shared time at YU Kenya Farm give participants opportunities to connect, exchange experiences and build friendships.
During training, students encourage one another and work towards their individual goals. Outside training, they can spend time together and become part of a larger community connected by the same values.
This combination of martial arts and community is an important part of the YU Taekwondo experience. It encourages participants to develop not only their physical skills but also their ability to cooperate, communicate and support others.

The YU Taekwondo Camp Kenya 2026 offers an opportunity to dedicate five consecutive days to training, learning and personal development.
Instead of practising only during regular weekly classes, participants follow a shared programme that encourages consistency and creates opportunities to apply what they learn from one training session to the next.
The combination of training, tournament participation and belt examinations brings together different aspects of martial arts development. Students can practise their skills, face challenges and recognise their progress throughout the camp.
Community activities add another important dimension. Shared experiences encourage cooperation, friendship and a sense of belonging that extends beyond the training environment.
These experiences reflect the values of traditional YU Taekwondo: respect, perseverance, discipline, self-control and continuous improvement.
