From 22β28 August 2027, the YU Taekwondo Summer Camp brings us together for seven unforgettable days on the beautiful Tar Peninsula in Croatia. Intensive Taekwondo training, personal development, Belt Exams, community and summer by the sea make this camp a very special YU experience.
Throughout the week, participants can develop their technique, challenge themselves and train together with members of the YU community. Color Belts and Black Belts alike have the opportunity to grow, gain new experiences and take the next step on their individual Taekwondo journey.
But Summer Camp is about more than training. Shared meals, time by the sea, an excursion day and unforgettable moments together create the perfect combination of Taekwondo, personal development, summer and community.
The YU Taekwondo Summer Camp gives us something that regular weekly training cannot: several days to focus intensively on Taekwondo, spend time together and experience the YU community beyond our individual schools.
Training over several consecutive days gives participants more time to concentrate on details and put new corrections directly into practice. Instead of waiting until the next weekly lesson, students can continue working on their techniques throughout the camp and experience their own development step by step.
Without the usual everyday routine, there is also more time to discover new strengths and learn from one another. Participants from different age groups and belt levels train side by side, exchange experiences and motivate each other throughout the week.
At the same time, Croatia gives us the perfect environment to combine focused training with a true summer experience. Taekwondo remains at the heart of the camp, while the sea, shared activities and time together create the balance that makes Summer Camp such a memorable YU experience.
Whether you are still at the beginning of your Taekwondo journey or have already trained for many years, the YU Taekwondo Summer Camp offers opportunities to develop at your own level and work towards your personal training goals.
Color Belts can use the intensive training days to strengthen their fundamentals, improve existing techniques and gain more confidence in their movements. Working on details over several consecutive days can create progress that is difficult to achieve during regular weekly training alone.
The camp also gives students time to focus more closely on areas that may still feel challenging. Repetition, individual corrections and training with different partners help participants develop a deeper understanding of their techniques and become more confident in applying them.
Advanced students and Black Belts can work on increasingly demanding technical details and continue developing precision, control and understanding. Training alongside students from different YU schools also creates new perspectives and makes it possible to learn from training partners who may approach familiar exercises in a different way.
After several days of intensive preparation, Belt Day is one of the major highlights of the YU Taekwondo Summer Camp 2027. Eligible participants can demonstrate what they have learned and take the next step on their Taekwondo journey.
Color Belt Exams give students the opportunity to work towards their next belt level during the camp. The days leading up to Belt Day can be used to refine techniques, correct details and prepare together.
The Black Belt Exam is an especially significant part of the week. Reaching this stage represents years of training, discipline and personal development, making the shared Summer Camp setting a memorable place for this important milestone.
Some of the most valuable moments at Summer Camp happen outside the training sessions. Eating together, spending free time by the sea, talking after training and sharing new experiences bring participants closer together.
Students who may normally train at different YU schools have the opportunity to meet, train together and become part of a larger community. Existing friendships grow stronger and new ones can develop throughout the week.
Younger and older students, Color Belts and Black Belts all share the same camp experience. Supporting one another during challenging training sessions, celebrating progress together and simply spending time as a group are an important part of what makes the week special.
This combination of training and community is what makes the YU Taekwondo Summer Camp different from an ordinary holiday or a regular week of Taekwondo classes. Participants return home with new training experiences, new motivation and memories created together with the YU community.
Our Summer Camp takes place on the Tar Peninsula in Croatia. The coastal setting gives us the opportunity to combine intensive Taekwondo training with a true summer atmosphere.
Participants stay for six nights with half board. Breakfast and dinner provide a shared start and end to our active camp days, while the programme leaves room for training, recovery and shared experiences.
Arrival is organised individually, giving participants and families flexibility when planning their journey to Croatia.
The camp package includes six nights of accommodation and half board. Different room categories are available, allowing participants and families to select the option that suits them best.
Available categories include multi-bed rooms for 3β6 people, double rooms and single rooms. Room availability is limited and depends on the accommodation capacity.
Staying together at the camp location makes it possible to move naturally between training, meals, recovery and shared activities. This creates a true camp atmosphere and allows participants to experience the week together from morning until evening.
Family members or accompanying persons who travel with a participant but do not take part in the Taekwondo training programme receive a β¬150 reduction from the applicable camp price. This makes it possible for families to experience the week together even when not everyone wishes to participate in the training programme.
Belt Exam fees are not included in the camp price and are charged separately where applicable.
Costs connected with the excursion day are not included in the camp package.
Travel to and from Croatia as well as any individual transfers are organised and paid for independently.
Intensive training. New technical challenges. Belt Exams. Summer by the sea. Shared meals, an excursion and time together with the YU community. Every day brings new opportunities to learn, develop and create memories together.
Every participant arrives with their own goals and experiences the camp in their own way. What connects us is the opportunity to dedicate an entire week to Taekwondo, development and community.
The YU Taekwondo Summer Camp 2027 brings all of these experiences together on the Croatian coast. Whether you are preparing for your next Belt Exam, working towards a Black Belt or simply want to develop your Taekwondo, this week offers the time and environment to focus on your own journey. Train together. Grow together. Experience YU together.
