A free workshop for adults, office workers, and companies focused on movement, posture, back health, and everyday wellbeing.
Office & Company Day at YU Taekwondo Mombasa
Office & Company Day at YU Taekwondo takes place on Monday, November 16, 2026, at VOK Social Hall in Mombasa. This free workshop is designed for adults who would like to improve their mobility, strengthen their back, and discover simple ways to support their health through movement.
Modern working life often places significant demands on the body. Long hours of sitting, repetitive movements, lifting, carrying, and physical strain can all contribute to discomfort, tension, and reduced mobility.
Led by Kwan Jang Nim Dr. Andreas Held, this workshop offers practical exercises and movement concepts that can be applied in everyday life, regardless of age, fitness level, or previous experience.
What the Workshop Offers
Back Strength and Stability
Learn simple exercises that help support the spine, strengthen the back, and improve overall posture.
Mobility and Flexibility
Discover movements that can improve flexibility, reduce stiffness, and help the body move more comfortably throughout the day.
Everyday Wellness
Learn practical techniques that can easily be integrated into work routines, whether in an office, workshop, classroom, or other workplace.
Safe and Accessible Movement
The workshop focuses on safe, beginner-friendly exercises suitable for adults of all ages.
Why Sitting and Physical Work Affect the Body
Sitting for long periods can place stress on the back, neck, shoulders, and hips. At the same time, physically demanding jobs that involve lifting and carrying can also create strain on muscles and joints.
Without regular movement, many adults experience stiffness, reduced mobility, muscle tension, and discomfort that can affect both wellbeing and productivity.
Office & Company Day at YU Taekwondo highlights simple ways to counter these challenges through healthy movement and body awareness.
Designed Especially for Adults
Many adults hesitate to try new activities because they feel too old, too inexperienced, or not fit enough. This workshop has been created specifically to remove those concerns.
No previous experience is required, and there is no expectation to be athletic or highly flexible. Every participant works at their own level and can progress comfortably.
The goal is to encourage movement, confidence, and healthier habits in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Join as an Individual, Team, or Company
Individuals, friends, colleagues, small groups, and entire companies are welcome to participate.
Whether you are looking for personal wellbeing, a healthier workplace culture, or an opportunity to move together as a team, this event provides a practical introduction to healthy movement.
Participation is completely free and no advance registration is required.
Led by Kwan Jang Nim Dr. Andreas Held
Kwan Jang Nim Dr. Andreas Held will personally guide participants through the workshop and explain practical approaches to movement, posture, and physical wellbeing.
Drawing on decades of experience in martial arts education and physical development, he will present simple methods that adults can apply in everyday life.
The focus remains on accessibility, safety, and long-term health rather than athletic performance.
